Truck Accidents

Truck accidents are statistically the most dangerous types of accidents on the road. One out of every eight traffic fatalities involves a truck. Currently, there are around 15.5 million commercial trucks operating on the road. Most truck drivers are licensed and safe, and the majority of truck accidents are the fault of other vehicles. When a truck accident does occur, there are a number of common causes. These include speeding, driver fatigue, driving under the influence of alcohol, mechanical failures, braking failure, tire blowouts, and overloaded or unbalanced tractor-trailers. Truck accidents at any speed present major hazards, as given the size of trucks, even a low-speed accident can result in major damages and fatalities.
